Project overview
Reimagining the Attendee Journey for Zoom Events
The Challenge
As virtual and hybrid events become central to global SaaS operations—ranging from high-stakes product launches to internal all-hands—attendees are increasingly facing "Digital Fatigue" and "Information Overload." The core challenge was to transform Zoom Events from a static video conferencing tool into a context-aware, high-engagement ecosystem that respects the fragmented schedules of modern professionals.
The Strategy
I led the end-to-end design evolution focusing on three distinct behavioral archetypes: The Sniper (efficiency-driven), The Sponge (discovery-oriented), and The Juggler (multi-tasking). By mapping the unique frictions across the Pre, During, and Post-event lifecycle, I moved the product strategy from a "one-size-fits-all" catalog to a personalized, omnichannel experience that adapts to the user’s intent and device—be it Desktop, Mobile, or Meeting Room TV
The Impact
The result is a holistic event framework designed to move the needle on key business metrics: maximizing registration-to-attendance conversion, increasing session density per user, and extending the ROI of content well beyond the live broadcast. This project demonstrates how strategic UX can transform logistical complexity into a seamless, human-centric learning journey.

Summary
Introduction and Agenda Setting
Katie, Terry, Haylie and the rest of the group gathered to tackle a pressing challenge faced by their company. The meeting commenced with an introduction by the moderator, setting the agenda and encouraging active participation from all attendees.
Open Discussion and Idea Generation
The first phase involved an open discussion where team members freely shared their ideas, leveraging the virtual whiteboard feature to jot down key points. Encouraging an atmosphere of inclusivity, everyone had the opportunity to contribute, fostering a collaborative environment that sparked creativity.
Exploration and Evaluation of Ideas
Following this, the meeting transitioned into a focused exploration of the most promising ideas generated during the initial brainstorming phase. Through structured discussions and analytical thinking, the group delved deeper into each concept's feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with the company's objectives.
Consensus-Building and Prioritization
The third segment of the meeting involved group consensus-building. Facilitated by the moderator, the team collectively identified the most viable and innovative solutions that emerged from the brainstorming process. Through a voting system or mutual agreement, the top ideas were prioritized, ensuring that the final decisions were reflective of the team's shared vision.
Action Planning and Next Steps
As the meeting drew to a close, action items and next steps were outlined. Each selected idea was assigned to specific team members or subgroups responsible for further research, planning, and execution. Clear timelines, responsibilities, and metrics for success were established to ensure accountability and progress. The meeting concluded with a sense of enthusiasm and purpose, as the team felt empowered by the collaborative effort and committed to implementing the discussed strategies to address the company's challenges effectively.
